Mission: The Global Community

BrazilChinaFranceGermanyJapanPolandRomaniaSwitzerlandUKUSA

Positivism has not only provided the standard method of scientific research. It spread as a global movement. France, Great Britain, Poland, Brazil, Turkey and Romania witnessed strong positivist movements in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Brazilian flag bears Comte’s motto “Order and Progress”. Positivist temples, devoted to the worship of humanity, were built in major cities. Some still operate and offer opportunities to meet positivists of the original Comtean movement.

The Auguste Comte House in Paris is today the address for research dealing with the history of positivism.

And, of course, you can always join our debates on facebook, our facebook group, or on Google+.

Should you build up your own local community of positivists with friends and want to reach out — do let us know! Use this site and our blog to promote your activities.

Simply write to positivists@positivists.org.
